The Kids' Barn at The Mooreland Equestrian Center
Equine Fun For Kids and Kids at Heart

This Week
We'll be at the new place about 2 months soon and things are beginning to shape up and get into shape. Winter, of course, makes things a little harder to do. We have to wait until the ground thaws to add new fencing and to repair the old. We are adding new turnout areas as we find and fill the many holes in the ground left by our many wild animal friends. The barn is beginning to be more organized and with the help of my hardworking volunteers and the students from the NET program from Berlin HS we are beginning to really get work completed on the renovations inside the barn. We have been working to get rid of brush aroiund the barn and the rings. We will be starting on more of the driveway and paring area next week.
I will soon be offering free grooming sessions open to our volunteers and member of the public. It's a great introduction to horses for the newbie and a great horse fix for those who just love horses. Look for more info to follow.

Our friends the foxes, they love to eat the rats and mice that we prefer to keep away from the barn, have been active around the farm. I see them on a regular basis and see their footprints in the snow each morning when I put out hay for the horses. Pictures to follow.
